Letter From Our President

Welcome to the best four years of your life! We're so happy you chose SLU, and even happier you chose to go Greek. My name is Katie Williams and I have the privilege to serve as the President of Phi Mu at Southeastern Louisiana University.  I am proud to represent my chapter of 100+ sisters, from cities near and far.

I always knew I wanted Phi Mu to be my home.  It is where I felt loved and where I knew I could become my best self. I joined Phi Mu for friends, but I stayed for family.

Each sister in our chapter brings a different perspective, but we each share the same affection and dedication to one another.  We are lifelong sisters, establishing relationships that will last a lifetime.

Our members strive for academic excellence and are very active on campus in numerous organizations. Your four years as an active Phi Mu will be a time of growth in leadership, service, and relationships as you realize your potential in a loving, encouraging group of lifelong friends. Phi Mu sees your potential, holds you accountable, challenges you to meet a higher standard, encourages you to achieve your dreams and helps you uphold your values. Our chapter also provides an environment for our members to serve others, both on campus and in our community. I am most proud of Phi Mu’s support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Phi Mu has molded me into the woman I am today. Not only have I grown here but I've also come to realize what our motto, "Love, Honor, Truth,” really means. I've seen the women of Phi Mu truly live out this motto in every aspect of their life.

Looking back at my freshman self I had hopes for what sorority life would give me. I wanted the friends, the socials, and the sense of belonging. However, I never could have imagined the doors Phi Mu has opened for me and the person it has shaped me into. Going Phi Mu is one the best decisions I've made, and as a leader in the chapter, I believe it is my duty to help preserve what makes Phi Mu so special.

SLU and Phi Mu are a powerful combination, not only enhancing your college experience but changing you for life!

Love in our bond,
Katie Williams
